Our current team for Project Yucatan for Christ is from Victory Chapel Baptist Church in South Carolina. We are in Yucatan for evangelistic efforts.

After an initial meeting where we all met together, the Yucatecans and Americans split up in small teams to learn and practice their words and phrases. These sessions turned out to be an interesting time of learning and laughing together! After the Spanish classes we celebrated by eating pizza. Food always helps the learning process!
The team met members of the church in Merida to take a course in basic Spanish words and phrases that they will use while on this trip. The Yucatecan members of Project Yucatan have been taking English classes; therefore, they were able to communicate with the team from Victory Chapel.

I hope you all are doing well in Merida. How is the weather? It's perfect here in Myrtle Beach :). Has there been any souls saved so far? I just wanted to let you all know that we are praying for yall. (P.S., try to keep my mom in line, I know it's hard, but somebody has to do it! haha).- Melissa
